The Workshops

UNCHARTED TERRITORY

Many of us have had to shift our plans for what life post-grad will look like. Fortunately, we are not alone! This panel will draw on the experiences of members of the class of 2020 and the class of 2009 to get a short term and a long term perspective on what it means to graduate in an uncertain time. Our speakers will be offering their reflections on resilience, flexibility, and opportunity. We are seeking out their golden nugget advice when it comes to planning (or not planning!) your life and career post-grad.

ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF

We discuss how to approach the future with confidence and how you can speak highly of yourself on your resume and in interviews. Learn tips for how to avoid underselling your skills, experiences, and who you are as a person. Combat Impostor Syndrome by learning how to value your skillset and empower yourself.

FINESSE YOUR RESUME

Erik Kernan of the New York Times will speak on best practices on how to craft your resume and orient this toward your dream job. Followed by a Q & A and time to work on your own resume based on the tips from the presentation.

SUSTAINING YOURSELF

Join us for a conversation with blogger and activist Sabs Katz on her post-graduate journey so far, and how she is designing a career that reflects her values and sustains a life well-lived.
