Joy of Mentoring

Seeds of Success helped me witness and partake in the power of positive energy and sharing information. Being a mentor to underclassmen gave me a lot of joy as I got to share experiences and lessons I have learned. I could really see during some conversations that there was a little bit of a relaxation from those we spoke to when realizing that everyone is kind of in the same boat going through college. If you have an ambitious, artistic goal, it can always feel as though you aren't doing enough to pursue it. I think being able to say to them that I am doing and making work, but also constantly feeling that same level of worry lifted at least a little bit of worry off of their shoulders. I am also just really happy to have grown my community. I look forward to seeing the work that my mentees do in the future, and will keep an eye out to see if anything I am doing may be interesting to them so I can give them an invite.
