Fordham English Major Receives Grant to Research the Politics of Kanye West
Last spring, Liam Leahy RH ‘22, received a Fordham Undergraduate Research Grant to study the politics of rapper Kanye West. Historically, English majors rarely apply for, much less receive, an undergraduate research grant—they usually go to STEM majors. But Leahy's experience goes to show not only that English majors, too, conduct scholarly research, but also that they have a lot of fun doing it. Leahy plans to submit the resulting scholarly paper for publication to an undergraduate journal on rap music published at Stanford University.
